Author Cliff Petrak (Don't Slow Me Down with that Calculator) will detail may of his 62 super-shortcut computational techniques and strategies that will prove faster for you than with the use of traditional methods or even the calculator. Many of these methods have long been in use in European and Asian texts. That explains why we now find our country as the 34th ranking country in the world in annual mental math competitions. Once learned, these methods will help bring our calculating methods into the 21st Century and, at the same time, will leave our calculator-dependent friends in the dust!

Presenter’s Bio
Now retired after a 40 year high school math teaching career at Brother Rice H.S., Chicagoan Cliff Petrak received his B.S. in math from DePaul Univ. & his Masters from Chicago State Univ. He will teach us numerous shortcut calculation methods as found in his book, Don't Slow Me Down with that Calculator. Cliff has presented at 152 venues in 17 states and Canada in hopes of bringing mental math into all our lives.
