In Memoriam: Cynthia Clampitt
Long-time Chicago Area Mensa member Cynthia Clampitt passed away in September. Cynthia was involved with our HalloweeM RG for many years, beginning in 1996, and most recently served as Program and Excursions Chair in 2023. She also shared her love of food with us through her monthly newsletter column, which featured recipes and stories about food. Cynthia was an incredibly influential, interesting member, and her presence is much missed across the organization.
We will hold a celebration of Cynthia’s life and invite you to please join us to share a story or memory, write a note in the condolence book for her family, and honor the memory of a friend and fellow Mensan. Her memorial corner in Hospitality is available for the entire event.

Deadlines
- Registration - Join the fun at WeeM. Register at the door if you haven’t preregistered. The deadline for online registration was October 16th.
- Vendor space - Please complete and submit a Vendor Application by Thursday, October 22nd. If you have any questions after reviewing the Vendor Flyer containing all the details, contact the WeeM Vendor Liaison .
- Lodging - The deadline set by the hotel for the WeeM rate was October 9th.
- Volunteer Now! Get involved and become a star. We have a great WeeM every year due to the many of you who sign up to help out for a few hours or more. Sign up as a volunteer and qualify for raffle tickets to win one of the gift cards. Earn the coveted WeeM pin when you volunteer for least 4 hours.
- Room Sharing - Let us help match you up with another attendee who is also interested in sharing a room by submitting your information by Wednesday, October 28th.
