Four Support People You Need for Self-Publishing
Before you embark on self-publishing your memoir or short story collection, there are a few basic things you may like to know. Self-publishing is a simplified term. You need an editor (or two), a book designer (inside and out), a proof-reader and maybe an outside expert to check your research. Then you need to get it into Kindle Format and maybe create an audiobook. Marssie Mencotti completed her novel, Pro Patria, one year ago. She would love to help you get some idea of what it takes to get your book up and running.
Former tenured Associate Professor at Columbia College Chicago, Marssie completed her MA in Creative Writing at Northwestern in 2017. She is currently a writer, actor, voiceover and adjunct faculty teaching Voiceover Demo Production at Columbia College Chicago. Her novel Pro Patria was completed and self-published in 2018.
