Ernest J. Plankey

1927 - June 12, 2006

Ernest J. Plankey, age 79 of Munster, passed away suddenly, Monday, June 12, 2006. He is survived by his sister Joan Sowa and nephew, Christopher Pouch both Dyer; cousins: Kathy and Gerri Kotyuk of Schererville; dearest friends: Stan and Edna Vance of Munster, David and Terry Vance of Angola, Mary Catherine Vance Welsh and Phillip Vance both of Racine, WI; god child, Emily Truckey of Racine, WI. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julia Plankey; brother, Donny; niece, Cheryl Sowa Pouch. He was a graduate of Washington High School in East Chicago and the Indiana University in Bloomington. An Army veteran of WWII and life member of American Mensa Ltd. Ernie will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. Honoring the wishes of Ernest, funeral services were privately held. Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, Schererville in charge of arrangements.
