Description
Driving to Bar Harbor for their honeymoon, Colleen and Alan stopped by for a tink and a drink in Montpelier, VT. It was beautiful. Alan said, “This is where every state puts its best foot forward—we should see all of them!” Colleen enthusiastically agreed. In classic “a good idea that got out of hand” fashion, over the course of the last 22 years, they’ve made it to 48 out of 50, with only Alaska & Hawaii remaining. Along the way they took in National Parks, museums, zoos, galleries, historic sites, oddities, ridiculous roadways. The best of Americana.

Hikers, travelers, have been to 48/50 state capitols and dozens of National Parks, museums, zoos, and oddities. They're both 40+-year members of Mensa (where they met), happily retired and traveling more than ever.
