Presenter’s Bio

A global event professional with an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a graduate degree from Northwestern University, Laurie has a passion for history in many forms, from art history to historic preservation. Her interest in American Revolutionary history began with studying her own family's contributions to our nation's founding when she joined the Daughters of the American Revolution. She continues to study various aspects of the Revolution and the founding fathers.

Robin Turpin received a Ph.D. in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and advanced training as a Distinguished Fellow with the U.S. Department of Education. She spent 30 years conducting healthcare evaluation and outcomes research in academic and industry settings, co-authoring more than 100 books and journal articles on health economics and population health management. As a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Robin has lifelong interests in both history and genealogy.
