Learn about the history of the ocean cargo industry, who the major players are, how they keep containers from falling off those huge ships, and how Chicago figures in as a major intermodal hub. Explore the vagaries of global supply and demand as it pertains to international logistics. The presentation will also touch on how the pandemic created a worldwide supply chain crisis and how the market has changed as a result.

Amy has been in the ocean shipping industry for over 30 years, and is currently employed as a consultant in maritime logistics. She earned a master's degree in Supply Chain Management.
