Science Time with Timmy - Episode 4
An eclectic blend of all the things you want to know, without the hassle of actually studying the things you need to understand. In this episode we start with a discussion of radiation, which leads to black body radiation, and (of course) Einstein's theory of Special Relativity (which Galileo first postulated in 1832). But we can’t stop there. We need to continue to Einstein's General Relativity and the concept of SpaceTime. And — if time allows (pun intended) — we will look into time dilation — and how time slows at or near the speed of light.
Renaissance man, philanthropist, world class athlete: none of these terms has ever been used to describe Timmy King. Founder of the Central Illinois Cicada Rescue Society. He and his associates have saved over 2 million Cicadas from a tragic and untimely death. Timmy has an uncanny ability of watching YouTube videos and repeating words and phrases that he does not understand. But don’t let that frighten you — there are so many other frightening aspects to his presentations.
